Great update/ suggestions

Great update! A few things though.
1. How about folder operations( move/ rename/ archive) on iPhone/ iPod Touch
2. Print
3. More robust PDF viewer. Check out Airsharing Pro. The PDF viewer supports large files, table of contents, thumbnails.
4. Perhaps Bookmarklet for Safari to save files into Files
5. Multliple file attachments to email.
Despite some of the features of Airsharing Pro, I think Files is still a better experience. Way to go. Can't wait for Files 2.0
PS- notes would be cool too, though maybe not part of your vision:)

Giskard, Files already inter-operates with HP iPrint app, which is a free app.
When viewing a file in Files, push the share button in the bottom, and one of the options is to open the file in HP iPrint.
This little app recognizes any HP printer hocked into your LAN.Sadly only works with HP brand, but since is for free, you can have it.

The next version of Files (1.7.3) will also support printing in iOS 4.2 via AirPrint printers. Note that contrary to what Apple stated earlier in the year it appears that iOS 4.2 won't support printers shared via a PC or Mac, but only AirPrint compatible printers. At the moment this includes only a few HP "ePrint" printer models.

v1.7.3 is currently in review with Apple so should be available in a few days as a free update.
