Where do the files get saved???

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out where files hd is pulling my files/folders from. Is it iTunes?

All I want to do Is create new folders and files to open in files hd.

Sorry for the noob question, appreciate you help!

Files HD stores all files and folders on your iPad.

The iTunes interface allows you to upload/download to the "Public" folder in Files HD. However it won't let you create folders due to restrictions imposed by Apple.

To create and manage your documents/folders you can connect to Files HD via a web browser by entering the connection URL (displayed when tapping the green toolbar button). Or you can connect from the Mac OS X Finder or Windows Explorer, see Files HD's built-in help for full connection instructions.

would be nice to get an answer for the question where (on the ipad) are the files saved. my documents pro does not start up, everytime when i start the application there is a message given : lesezeichen werden erweitert (my lang. is german) somewhat as bookmarks are being expanded and a rotating circle as known from ipad applications and that it is. no chance to connect to the computer. so WHERE ARE MY FILES ??? and how can i get my files without usage of documents pro because it is unusable ???

Documents are saved in the application sandbox (the "home" directory, unique to each application).

In Files, Files Pro and Documents Pro the storage locations are:

"Public" -> ~/Documents
"Documents" -> ~/Library/Documents

You can use an application such as Disk Aid (http://www.digidna.net/products/diskaid) to retrieve documents from these locations via USB.
