Missing icon

Just updated to v1.9.9 (514) on iPhone 3GS and have a blank icon on the home screen. App seems to work OK (quick test).

It seems that if you restart your iPad the icon should be restored (this is a bug in iOS 5.1).

Let us know if restarting doesn't help.

Thanks John. Have now power cycled the iPhone and the icon is there.

However – and this is where I get confused – the icon is OK on my iPad (retina) without any power cycling; the app was installed on the iPad by iTunes last week but is the same version/build as the update I downloaded to the iPhone today.

Ah well, all's well that ends well!

Ah, sorry I was in "iPad" mode when I replied initially.

It may be that the difference is that you did a fresh install of the app on the retina iPad and an update on the iPhone?

iPad was a fresh install by iTunes, so yes. But what I find interesting is that its version number (without any subsequent updating) is the same as the recent update on the iPhone, whereas I would expect it to be the previous version because that's what was in the iTunes backup at the time. Maybe there's more happening in the background than I know about!
