Note: If no locations are found, try a larger town or city close to where you live.
The web page is opening to notify you that there's an update available for the BBC Weather widget. This was an unfortunate design choice we made in 2006 when v0.9.7 of the widget was released.
If you follow the instructions on the web page (or here) and upgrade your copy of the BBC Weather widget you'll no longer be bothered. The latest version of the widget uses a much more subtle update notification on the widget itself.
Yes, Download Queue supports Snow Leopard.
One Caveat: Apple no long support Input Managers in 64bit applications. As a result Download Queue's Safari plugin no longer functions in Snow Leopard.
The only known work-around is to run Safari in 32bit mode (this can be selected in the application's Get Info panel), but this isn't recommended.
To enable multiple connections go to the 'General' perference panel and check the 'Allow multiple connections per download' checkbox.
Note that multiple connections will only increase the speed of your downloads if your internet connection bandwidth exceeds that of the remote server's bandwidth. This is typically true for a broadband/cable connection, but not of a dialup (modem) connection.
Yes, Download Queue v1.1.1 and later fully supports downloading of large files.
Download Queue supports rapidshare.com "Normal" and "Direct" download links. Normally rapidshare.com download links redirect to a web page. If you add the link to Download Queue and the extension is changed to "html" then you should open the URL in a browser, then follow the instructions to obtain a "Premium" or "Free" URL which points to the actual file.
Once you have obtained the real URL you can then add it to Download Queue as normal.
Purchase a license by visiting the Download Queue product page and clicking on the "Buy Now" button. Once you have received your license information run Download Queue and click on the 'Register...' menu item under the application menu. In the registration panel copy and paste your name and license key into the appropriate sections. Finally click the 'Register' button to complete the registration process.
Open the registration panel and click on the "Lost License?" button and then follow the instructions.
For v1.2.1 or later just drag the Download Queue application to the Trash. If installed, the scheduling agent will automatically un-register itself next time you login.
For versions prior to v1.2.1, before deleting the Download Queue application the DownloadQueueAgent process must be stopped manually (you can quit the agent using the Activity Monitor utility). Then drag the Download Queue application to the Trash.
For all versions; if you installed the Safari menu extension then you can un-install
this by removing the folder:
/Library/InputManagers/DownloadQueueSafari
and then restart Safari to complete the process.
